Since January 2000 I did start over with working as a freelancer. This business is a bit new to me but luckily I have a brother studying economics (in the final year). One main reason to get it going has been Tektronix where there were offers for projects even while I was working elsewhere. Even more than that some of the time I had not been even in Berlin so there was hardly a chance to take the opportunity as a secondary business.

I took the chance of UStG § 19 Abs. 1 being freed from turnover tax which is allowed for small businesses without a product to trade. Actually I do expect to find a normal employee position in the near future keeping the freelancer identification of the tax office for some extra projects.

In short, Tektronix is the main contractor

After leaving from Tektronix some people over there were guessing that it is possible to merily freeze the projects that I had been creating for them in the years before - espcially in the field of PFE and MSC. However there are always some minor things to do or some interest in extensions of the software.

Last job orders were:

• Training about PFE Interpreter
• Consulting on MSC Extensions
• Build-Structure of Forth-base Software

More orders are immenent.

By the way I had been working on a freelance project a long time ago - at the age of 16 I have been creating a special tabular program for the DEFA movie studios in Potsdam-Babelsberg that was supposed to run on the very first personal computers to exist in their facilities.
